Antigua Holidays
Worldwide Travel Ideas Limited can help you plan your dream holiday to Antigua ...
Antigua is an ideal Caribbean holiday destination for solo travellers, couples and families alike. Flights to Antigua are direct from the UK with British Airways & Virgin Atlantic taking around 8 hours. Have a look at what this tiny island with a big personality has to offer...
The landscape is diverse with undulating green hills, 365 pale-hued sandy beaches, parishes dotted with colourful buildings and an imposing volcanic rock, Boggy Peak/Mount Obama, rising to 1320 feet. Waves crash at Devil's Bridge where the Caribbean Sea meets the Atlantic Ocean while yachts and sailing boats bob around in calm, glistening harbour waters.

The types of recommended accommodation include large and compact all-inclusive resorts and self-catering beachfront hotels with on-site dining options. Other properties have use of a pool or the local beach may be accessible via a scenic shuttle boat ride or a short walk. Some hotels are lively, others quiet offering a more tranquil stay. There really is something for everyone.
Click on the Hotels in Antigua link for details of each of the recommended places to stay.
Holidays to Antigua are a chance to escape from a busy schedule and reset. Days can be spent relaxing by an infinity pool or a beach of soft white sand. The more active might like to take part in exciting activities such as swimming with stingrays, exploring hiking trails or snorkelling around a shipwreck.

While on vacation, take a well earned rest from cooking and indulge in a variety of Antiguan dishes. Expect fancy waterfront restaurants, pop up road-side barbecues and low key eateries in colourful wooden buildings. Sample local dishes such as fungee, a dish made from cornmeal or ducana made from grated sweet potato and coconut. A wide range of International food is also available as well as incredibly fresh fish and lobster.

Short term holiday rentals offer an excellent alternative to hotel accommodation. Unique, privately owned properties provide guests with a 'home from home' style of break that can often be more cost effective and practical by cooking meals at home and keeping on top of laundry etc.

Worldwide Travel Ideas Limited has viewed and photographed each property and met with the owner/property manager before featuring it as a recommended place to stay.
